Non Technical Short Summary Of Project

MCAST shall review the curricula of its Pathway and Level 1-3 programmes to facilitate the progression of vulnerable students to higher level vocational programme and ultimately employment. This involves the review and design of syllabi with the required support, teaching material with relevant pedagogical skills, course accreditation and staff training.

Operational Objective: To contribute towards the integration, retention and progression of disadvantaged groups in the labour market, whilst addressing labour market distortions.

Project Objectives

The overall objective of this project is that of enhancing the employability of vulnerable groups.

Project Results

The overall project results are:1) Decreasing the number of students who are not successful (Dropouts) 2) Pass rate is increased by 7% 3) Retention rate is increased by 7%

Project Purpose

1) Revised curricula and syllabi for vulnerable groups in view of their future employability;2) Staff training to ensure the optimal provision of lecturing for vulnerable groups;3) Preparation of teaching material and production and procurement of other suitable resources for the same purpose.
